Anti Ragging

Ragging is a non-bailable criminal and punishable offence as per the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. The Institute will take additional stern action against the guilty. The Institute has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee which shall monitor the students and deal with complaints, if any, in this regard

Action against ragging: Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 and its amendments which may be published from time to time. The Act is in effect from 15th May, 1999 has the following provisions for Action against Ragging.

 

  • Ragging within or outside college is strictly prohibited
  • Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets, or propagates ragging within or outside shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term up to 2 years and / or penalty, which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
  • Any student convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the institution and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.
  • The head of the educational institution within seven days of the receipt of the complaint will enquire into the matter mentioned in the complaint given by the student, the parent or the teacher of that institution.
  • The student who is accused of the offence with prima facie evidence, the same compliant will be forwarded to the police station for further action.
  • If there is no substance, prima facie, in the complaint received; he / she shall intimate the fact, in writing, to the complainant. The decision of the head of the educational institution shall be final.

Any Acts or its amendments which may be published from time to time or Judgments by Hon. Courts of India will be applicable to Candidates and Institutes covered under these rules of admission.

Anti Capitation

No capitation fees are collected at this Institute by adhering to the Anti-Capitation Act.
